About
Kelly Mendoza is a Media Education Consultant and Doctoral Candidate in the Mass Media and Communication Program at Temple University. Currently, she works as Senior Manager of Education Content and Curriculum at Common Sense Media, where she develops digital literacy and citizenship programs for schools.
Her research interests include the benefits and challenges of new media in families and schools. In her dissertation research, she explores what strategies parents' report using to guide and monitor their preteen’s Internet use, and what challenges parents face with their preteens digital media use.

Kelly holds an undergraduate degree in Communication and Visual Arts from Regis University and a master’s degree in Communication from the University of Colorado at Denver.
